To be able to use Intelligent Heat Control, you must have equipped your system with ViCare Smart Climate components. The function's algorithm then calculates optimized flow temperatures for radiators and/or underfloor heating and increases or decreases them accordingly. If there is no longer a demand for higher quantities of hot water, the flow temperature is reduced to such an extent that the demand on the boiler still exists, but no excess hot water is pumped into the system. This calculation is based on the current demand recorded by the installed ViCare Smart Climate components.
Once you have subscribed to the Savings Assistant, Intelligent Heat Control is activated automatically. No further calibration is required.
Your benefits
- Less energy consumption due to reduced distribution losses thanks to demand-based flow temperature control
- More comfort in rooms with high heat demand thanks to a faster reacting heating system
- Less wear and tear and therefore longer service life of the heat generator
Why is Intelligent Heat Control useful, even if I already use ViCare Smart Climate?
The feature complements ViCare Smart Climate, which is based on room and outdoor temperature. The outdoor sensor records the outdoor temperature and the ViCare individual room components measure it indoors. Intelligent Heat Control then calculates the optimum water temperature that needs to flow through your heating system to achieve the desired temperature in each of your rooms.
However, the room temperature also depends on other factors, e.g. solar radiation or open windows. The system therefore adjusts itself continuously. Your system then transports the energy accordingly to distribute it where it is needed. When the temperature set in the ViCare app is reached, the system maintains these conditions until the next schedule change.
Availability
Intelligent Heat Control is available for the combination of a connected Viessmann heating appliance with components for ViCare Smart Climate Single Room Control.
