The CO2 emissions are calculated based on your grid consumption and on the country specific grid power energy mix of the past calendar year. This is illustrated by the driven car distance based on average fuel consumption and the respective fuel CO2 equivalent.
The CO2 savings are calculated based on the amount of energy that you have self-consumed and that has been fed into the grid. This energy amount is related to the country-specific grid electricity energy mix of the previous calendar year. It is illustrated by the number of trees absorbing that CO2 amount within one year with an assumed CO2 absorbing rate.
