How to install ViCare Smart Climate devices?

To use your devices you must first set them up. This can be done in your ViCare app by pressing the “Add device” button under ViCare Smart Climate in the Settings menu. To use the full benefits of ViCare Smart Climate, you should add at least one ViCare Radiator Thermostat valve. This will allow you to individually control the temperature on your radiator.

Important note for Viessmann's newest generation of heating devices - if the “Add device” button is unavailable, please contact your local Viessmann technical support. The boiler might need reconfiguration to work properly with the solution.

Initialization step-by-step:

Follow the instructions shown below or in the guided steps in the ViCare app.

Step 1. In the ViCare app add your first device - the best is to start with a ViCare Radiator Thermostat.

Step 2. Open the ViCare Radiator Thermostat by pressing the white button and removing the shell.

Step 3. Place the batteries within the ViCare thermostat.

Step 4. Check if the ViCare thermostat is turned on. It should vibrate shortly and display two dashes ("--").

Step 5. Scan the QR code or enter the code manually so the ViCare app can identify the device.

Step 6. Click on the “Connect to ViCare” button to start the pairing process. At the same time, press and hold the tactile button on the radiator for 1s to enable pairing communication.

The device is now being paired. After the successful pairing process, you should see a confirmation screen in the app. The thermostat valve is now connected to the system and ready to be installed on the radiator. Now the room should be added to connect the paired device with it. To do so simply follow these steps: 

Step 1. Add a room you would like to put your device in by naming it and choosing its type.

Step 2. Click “Save” in the top right corner of the screen and your room will be added to the system.

The room has been saved and can be found on the “Your Rooms” list on the main “ViCare Smart Climate” settings screen.

After creating the room, ViCare is ready either to finish the installation process by pairing an added device with the room or to continue by adding another device if there is more than one to be added to the same room. The temperature values shown on the screen come as the default values, which you can reset to your desired temperature.

Important! If you have more than one active heating circuit for your boiler, you must choose which heating circuit you want to assign your devices. If you are unfamiliar with how heating circuits work, please contact your service professional to help you with the setup.

Now ViCare Smart Climate is ready to be configured by setting up Time Programs (schedules) for your comfort! Remember, that the temperature values shown on the ViCare screen come as the default values, so they should be configured according to your needs.
