ViCare Radiator Thermostat

Error codes for the ViCare Radiator Thermostat Valve (TRV) and the required action to resolve them are described here.

E6        Motor jam

            Remove the batteries and reinsert them. If necessary, contact your installer to have your radiator thermostat replaced.

E7        Radio link error

            Repeat the commissioning process for the radiator thermostat.

E8        Hardware failure

            Remove the batteries and reinsert them. If necessary, contact your installer to have your radiator thermostat replaced.

E9        Electronic thermostat valve closing error

             is displayed when there is a malfunction detected in the system and it was not fixed automatically. There are however some circumstances where the motor of the thermostat cannot close the valve where it is mounted to the radiator. How can you solve the E9 error? Make sure that you are using the correct Viessmann adapters, provided in the box or purchased via official channels. Try to avoid unknown manufacturers or products. Next  thing we advise is to press the button on the radiator thermostat for 4 seconds to trigger the motor run in the thermostat. If your radiator is not warm and the message persists it's usually not a problem. If it is not working as you expect please contact the Viessmann technician.
