Can Climate Sensor be used as a Range Extender?

In ViCare devices world, the Climate Sensor and Range Extenders are separate devices. A Climate Sensor is operating on batteries and a Range Extender needs a power supply.

The device has the same look but can only work in one of these functions, never in both at the same time.
