To achieve the best use of the photovoltaic system together with the battery (power storage system) and/or the heat pump, the algorithms of the optimization features “PV excess to heat” and “Forecast based battery charging” are based on forecast models. These are created on the basis of historical production data from the photovoltaic system, historical consumption data from the system and regional weather forecasts.
How it works with the extra feature
Viessmann Energy Management has implemented the extra feature “Solar irradiance forecast”, which enables the system to take into account solar irradiance forecasts that are continuously provided by a weather service. These additional forecasts further enhance system efficiency.
