If your network configuration has changed, e.g. after switching to fiber optics or changing your internet provider, reconnect the ViCare app and your Viessmann energy system as follows:
For Viessmann One Base systems (with integrated WLAN)
- Update the network configuration by navigating to “Communication module” in the “Settings” section of the ViCare app. There you can enter the new network data under “Network configuration”.
- The app will now ask for the ID data of your system. The easiest way to do this is to scan the QR code on the heat generator. However, you can also enter the data manually.
For older generation heating systems (in conjunction with Vitoconnect)
If you operate your heating system with the separate Vitoconnect as a WLAN interface, follow these steps to reconnect the app and Vitoconnect:
- First press and hold the reset button B on the Vitoconnect for a few seconds (min. 5, max. 30 seconds).
- Then update the network configuration by navigating to “Communication module” in the “Settings” section of the ViCare app. There you can enter the new network data under “Network configuration”. After entering the correct password, the LED
at the top of the Vitoconnect should light up white. This process can take up to 5 minutes. This LED indicates the connection to the WLAN network and then lights up white permanently if the system is working.
- The app will now ask for the ID data of your system. The easiest way to do this is to scan the QR code supplied with the Vitoconnect. However, you can also enter the data manually.
The ViCare app is now ready for use.
